"Ti have provided high quality coaching and superb data analysis, benchmarked against leading UK companies"
Leonie Saywell - Transport for London
It is easy to think 360 degree data is straightforward to handle. After all, it is usually designed to be that way. However, its true interpretation, the insightful patterns, the dynamics of the relationships between reviewers and the cultural implications of the data may not be obvious. At Talent Innovations we have designed and tested a highly effective method for giving 360 feedback – the ‘360 Discovery’ methodology with an accreditation skills programme. Included in the advanced training is the popular four-stage approach to managing resistance to feedback.
In our view, good coaching skills are not enough for 360 – nor is a Level 2 BPS qualification. You need a strong emotional maturity and well-honed questioning and listening skills, as well as the ability to spot patterns in data and challenge expectations and interpretations. Whatever skill level your team is at, we can support you. You can opt for webinars, public or in-house courses. Alternatively our experts can coach and shadow your team. Our commitment is that everyone receiving a 360 gets the option of a professional, caring coaching feedback – the way this is delivered is up to you.
Expressing yourself when you know it might upset someone is never easy. You know what you need to communicate, but sometimes you can end up avoiding the issues or missing the point completely.
Most 360s have aspects that are hard to handle in some way. So, after much experience, plus a study of the world of theatre, we have developed simple techniques to help you manage such sensitivities with care and confidence.
You and your managers can get some tips on how to handle tricky feedback through our webinar programme or you can request in-company training. You will learn some of the tricks of the trade in how to prepare and structure a conversation designed to resolve behavioural issues. We will also show you how to manage conversations about disappointing performance and develop ‘Leadership through New Conversations’ that transform situations and relationships.
In-company training with Talent Innovations can really make a difference to your key change projects. One of our expert consultants will work with you to define the focus and learning objectives to meet the needs of your team and will provide training in your areas of interest whether it is competency remodelling, job analysis techniques, designing a 360 project for transformation, facilitating 360 feedback or having tricky conversations. You will be engrossed and enthralled hearing the stories and experiences of our consultants who have seen and done so much in these areas and you will also be able to review and refine your implementation plan at the same time. You will feel supported in achieving your objectives and equipped to move forward. If you want to offer your team full accreditation you can even provide detailed skill feedback using a two-way mirror and written evaluation by a chartered psychologist.
